After Christmas and New Year, the next big business opportunity comes in January with the winter sales and yes – all those pictures of sunny beaches luring us to far-flung destinations for the holiday of a lifetime.
We’re lucky to have a thriving tourist industry locally that not only welcomes visitors to Whitstable, Canterbury & beyond – but also offers independent bookings and advice for getting away.
One local operator – Herne Bay-based Keith Smith – runs his own business with the support of the UK network, Travel Counsellors. Keith was recently invited to a special travel industry event at Telford’s International Centre as a reward for providing his customers with the highest levels of service. The event featured comedian Rob Brydon, songs from the Jersey Boys and chart-topping boyband McFly.
“I had an incredible time,” said Keith. “We were updated on the company’s future plans in business sessions from senior management and given insightful travel news and tips for the year ahead.”
“Running my own travel business, it is imperative to focus on the personal side, always putting the customer first by going the extra mile to satisfy their needs. My business is built on creating relationships with my customers and showing that I care.”
Travel Counsellors was founded in 1994 and has over 1,200 travel consultants who work from home with the support of 200 staff at the company’s UK headquarters in Bolton and overseas offices.
