Canterbury’s independent store Lenleys held a new Pop-Up Artisan Market just in time for Christmas.
Two days of seasonal shopping fun was had in Roper Place, as Canterbury’s interior design quarter boasted the best of Kentish produce, with stalls selling award-winning Kentish cheeses, pies, natural juices, Romney Marsh Wool, jewellery and tapestries, topped up with Unusual Whiskys and Lilly’s Gluten Free goodies.
The pop-up market opened for Saturday & Sunday, 14 & 15th in the car park of Lenleys, where parking was free for customers.
Visitors from Whitstable, Richard & Diane Williams, said: “We love this idea, we love Lenleys & we’re really lucky to have it. This artisan market is a great idea, & a welcome addition to the great products that Lenleys have always offered over the years.”
“This was a notable first for us,” said Jonathan Watts, Managing Director of Lenleys. “We had a bright & sunny Saturday which helped with people browsing, the whisky & wine as well as Rough Old Wife mulled cider seemed to go down well with the mostly Kentish and British foods on offer. A steady stream of visitors to our Sale Preview not only made some great savings with us, but were also able to walk away with some interesting and special local purchases.”
Lenleys closes on Sunday 22nd December, reopening for their Sale on Friday 27th December.
